Americus-Sumter County Parks and Recreation Authority

"I am a 1987 graduate of Americus High School, attended Faulkner University on a baseball scholarship from 1987-1990. I received a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Chadwick University in 1997. Prior to working here, I was employed by the Montgomery (Ala.) Parks and Recreation Department. I've been with this department for 13 + years. I am an active member of the Georgia Recreation and Park Association and have served on several statewide committees. I am a certified youth sports administrator. I have been married to my wife Tammie for 14 years and we have two daughters, Lexie and Ashleigh.

I enjoy working here because ... it gives me the opportunity to influence the next generation of athletes, and allows me to help create a better quality of life for all of our citizens through passive recreation facilities and programs. Sumter County is home and it's a joy to be a part of making it an even better place to live, work and play.
