Americus-Sumter County Parks and Recreation Authority

I graduated from A.S. Staley High School and am a life long resident of Sumter County. I have been employed with this department for over 30 years. I have been a member of GRPA for the past 25 years and last year received the D.L Lastinger Maintenance Award. I've also spent the past 25 years as a certified referee and umpire with the Georgia High School Association.

I have been married to my wife Emma Jean King Rush for 37 years. We have two sons; Terrance and Travis. We have 10 grandchildren.

I enjoy working here because ... it gives me the chance to watch kids grow and develop into young men and women. My work results are seen everyday in the facilities that we maintain. Our department is moving in a positive direction and I'm so proud to be one of the leaders on this team.
